The origin of a visionary idea
Grecale was founded in Messina in 2014, from the desire to bring to Torre Faro a new concept of dining for Southern Italy: not a fusion, but the harmonious coexistence of two cuisines that do not mix, but enhance one another side by side. The architectural structure of the restaurant reflects this idea: elegant spaces, terraces overlooking the sea, distinct areas for distinct experiences. Framing it all is the unique landscape of the Strait of Messina—ever-present, discreet, and powerful.
Specialisation and Talent
Two cuisines, two souls, two teams
The Sicilian cuisine is entrusted to Andrea Giannetti, a chef with an international track record and deep knowledge of the territory. Every dish is born from carefully selected local products and contemporary techniques. The Japanese kitchen, on the other hand, is a temple of precision and aesthetics, led by two true Japanese chefs: Marcos Toshiyuki Fukimoto and Hiroko Yamaguchi. Both bring their culture, their story, and their technique to every preparation—from uramaki to ramen. The brigades are independent, as are the identities of the menus.
